Serial No. for Product In QM

Dear Sir

We require serial no. for component.In incoming material we received 10 items with serial no. and we want that serial no. to be maintain in inspection lot when it is genrated through migo.Please guide

Please remove the backflush indicator from MRP2 view. it is not possible to specify serial numbers in conjunction with backflushing. You can either having serial number or you can have backflush. both will not go together

Dear Sir

As per your guidance i had assigned 0001 in roh material,the serial no. field was mandatory in migo,diplay in QM during Usage but not mandatory, but there is a qurey if in migo i had entered sr.no 123 and if there is serinal no 456 also mentioned,during usage decision it shows both serial no. even during transfer of component sales to slaes order serial no. can be changed.Our requirement is we have develop one packing list and we want to track the serial no. throughtout means Good receipt,Qm,Consumtiopn and the serial will flow that packing list.

I think for UD also the serial no is mandatory. Assign the serail numner when the production order is created. This will keep a track till you delivery

I had assinged 0001 serial no. material master,during migo serial is mandatory its ok,but during UD serial is displayed in grey field just to tick mark and proceed but i saw i can use different serial no. also instead of which migo has been done.during production issue also i can use different serial no..In our scenrio we want to keep the track of serial used for good receipt ,quality,good issue.

Dear Kunal

Please check the following

1) In OIS2 you will have a standard serial number profile. For eg 0001 - integrated serial no. Make use of this . If this is not available. If you have created a new make sure that you have following procedure inside the profile. Maintain stock check as blank

Procedure / description / Serial usage / equipment requirement

MMSL Maintain goods receipt and issue doc. 03/02

PPAU Serial numbers in PP order 02 / 02

PPRL PP order release 04/02

PPSF Serial nos in repetitive manufacturing 03/02

QMSL Maintain inspection lot 03/02

SDAU Serial numbers in SD order 02/02

SDCC Completness check for delivery 03/02

SDCR Completion check IR delivery 03/02

SDLS Maintain delivery 04/2

SDRE Maintain returns delivery 02/2

2) Assign this profile to Worksheduling view in the Material master.

Since this ROH type of material no worksheduling view is not available and let me whether below activity to be done or directly to be assigned and i tried 0001 is avaialbe but if i assgn it to sales genral plant data error of backflush.

In SPRO or T code OIS2 Cretae a serial number profile.

Assign Internal or external Serial Number.

1.Activate Serial number profile in Material master in sales view .

2.In QM view against 01 inspection type activate Serial Number.

During GR depending upon configuration System will prompt for Serial Numbers which will be copied to Inspection lot.

Revert back for more querries

i created Profl no. noe or select which i have cretaed or which you have mentioned,i have created ZQM1,procd.it is showing MMSL maintian good receipt and no other selection coming.it shows error ZQM1 profile has stock check indicator 2 the entry is not saved,pl guide where i m gng wrng.

Currently, only the serialization operation MMSL (Maintain goods entry and goods issue document) is supported.

this is what give in the Help file.

I have checked with SAP's existing serial number profile assigned to mvt type 101.

It is working fine.

Can you again check with existing profiles.with all above settings.

It is not allowing to save the record error showing Entry PROD does not exist in T377P( check entry) when i do F4 it show me the selection what i configure in OIS2 that is my ZQM1 wht i creayed as profile, please guide

Plz. maintain serial number profile in Plant storage data or Sales view. Maintain Serial Number Management Possible tick active.

when ever MIGO is done enetr serial number. When u take UD it will ask u serial number before saving.
