How to Calculate Cost for the Internal activity.

Hi,

To calculate cost > goto Activity>Press Ctrl+F10

To see cost--->Press Ctrl+F11

Dear Sir

when i am going for the Calculate cost of Activity.i am getting this following error

Messages were issued when costs were calculated (see log)

Message no. CK262

Please guide me how to solve the error

Hi

Check the activity type using KP26 t.code, wheater cost is defined for the activity. Check the formula in workcenter.

Hi Raj,

System will automatically caluculate the actual cost after doing the confirmation of the internal activity.

After you have saved the confirmation, the system

· Posts your confirmation for the date entered

· Copies the actual dates to the network or WBS element

· Calculates the actual costs for the posting date.

The actaul cost will be caluculated for the internal from the combination of work center and Activity type.

For Example:

In Activity type KP26 if you define as 5 Rs

While confirmig the internal activity you will mention 10 hrs, then system will caluculate the actual cost as 10x5= 50 Rs.

Hi

You can calculate the internal activity cost through the work center which you used for that activity. In internal activity you are assigning the work center , activity type and the time.

The activity type and the cost center is linked in the KP26 t.code by giving the value.

The work center has activity type , costcenter and formula to calculate the cost.

So once you enter the time in the intrenal activity it will get calculate based on the formula used in work center.

EX:

Time: 10 Hrs

In the activity type you have given the value per hour 10 Rs

The formula used in work center is ( Time X Value)

So 10X10 = RS 100

Dear Sir

How to Calculate the cost of General cost Activity

For EX in project we are using the 4 times General cost activity how we can calculate all of this cost.

Hi

For General cost Activity you no need to calculate the cost. Because in this you just entering the cost , so the same cost will accounted to the activity no calculation needed here.

EX:

Cost Plan

1000 USD

So the same will reflect in the activity cost.

You can check for this in top menu path of the CJ20N select the activity Edit ---> cost --> Plan/ Actual --> Activity element.

Hi Raj,

Basically on the lefthand side down you can find Templates for individual objects.

You can drag the cost activity and drop it on the Network.

Inputs for the general costs will be, Cost Element, Amount.

Then goto Edit>Costs> Calculate costs, if it not calculating while saving.

you can create as many Costs Activities as you can......
