Hello All,
The Free of Charge Delivery process in SAP, how does that works, and how till in the end the financial posting is done for such kind of products, for example if the goods are given away as a sample, what should be the right way to do the posting in finance ?, and if they are given away as free, what should be the correct way to show this in finance ?
also what are the normal item categories for such scenarios, where does TANN fits in ?
I understand it is better to have its own sales document type to process such scenario, what kind of cost center and profit center should be used in this scenario ?
Regards
hi mehra,
the diff between the free of charge delivery(sample) and free goods is controlled by item categories,
free fo charge delivery(sample) - KLN (as santhosh said above)
free goods - tann

Hi Friend,
Free of charge delivery is nothing but you are offering a sample product with a free of charge and this you have to map in SAP using the Sales document type CD/FD
There will be delivery to this with the document type LF which is the standard
The item category is KLN and it is not relevant for Billing
There is no Billing document created and hence no accounting document created.
The cost of material creation will be update to the cost centre as it is still a cost eleement and not profit unless it is sold.
Hope you got it.
regards,
santosh
