Planned orders in CDP

Hi,

I have a weird issue.

I have 3 materials. one material (fert_mat1) without PPM and other is also FERT (fert_mat2) but has a dependent reqt HALB (halb_mat1).

case 1. fert_mat1 - no ppm

case 2. fert_mat2 -ppm

- halb_mat1

I entered forecast for both materials. when I run a product heuristic for both materials, characteristic requirements are getting transferred to planned order only in case 1 but not in case 2.

for case 1, when I try to convert that planned order to purchase req, the characteristics are getting transferred. In case two, it is completely ignoring characteristics. Is there any badi/fm that I need to apply or is there any oss note for this ? or is there any other reason for this.

thanks

Hi,

In case 2: did you maintain the procurement type as 'E'?

Actually I did nt get you ..

"for case 1, when I try to convert that planned order to purchase req, the characteristics are getting transferred. In case two, it is completely ignoring characteristics"... can you be more elaborate regarding the actual requirment?

Thanks,
