Hi

I think yes. since it could be optional . if you need complex contract and store all discussions / history .

we may require.

https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/DocBuilder/SAPDocumentBuilder

Document builder is another SAP system .

The following business processes are available:

Complex Contract Creation (SAP Document Builder)

Guaranteed Minimum Definition

Closeout Execution

Contract Tracking and Monitoring

Electronic Contract File Creation

Post-Award Procedure

Options Definition

Incremental Funding

Complex Contract Creation with SAP Document Builder

You can use this business process to create a contract from a successful bid and solicitation. This process allows the incorporation of clauses required by public sector regulations using SAP Document Builder. You then approve a contract or purchase order. In this process, you fulfill public sector-specific financial obligations, notify unsuccessful bidders, and report award of contracts to external public sector entities.

Prerequisites

A complex contract is created in this process to fulfill a requirement identified in the Public Sourcing and Tendering scenario.

Process

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/en/76/51211af79c45be8d90ef5ed30fe719/frameset.htm

Create contract (SRM Server)

Engage SAP Document Builder (SAP Document Builder)

Select terms and conditions (SAP Document Builder)

Negotiate contracts (SRM Server)

Renew contract (SRM Server)

Define contract hierarchies (SRM Server)

Define supplier hierarchies (SRM Server)

Define product category hierarchies (SRM Server)

Define discounts based on released values (SRM Server)

Define quota arrangements (SRM Server)

Execute contracts (SRM Server)

Result

The result of this business process is the creation and execution of a legally compliant contract

I believe it is optional .

Thank you.

Can we download it from Service Market Place?

Is that an additional license?

Hi LE

Sorry . I misunderstood intially. Now i got it.

Do you want to integrated Document Builder with SRM 7?

why you may require Document Builder ?

but

Support across full process lifecycle (e.g. PPS RFx

and Contract Documents)

􀂄 Configurable output u2013 PDF, MS Word, XML

􀂄 Dynamically determine clause inclusion based

upon business rules

􀂄 Include forms in the assembled PDF document

􀂄 Clause, template, and document versioning

I will check component matrix and let you know and also need to explore how it is integrated with contract document types in PPS and layouts.

Hi Le,

You can configure for Document Builder.

In which business document you want this functionality .

i believe it is like our document folder in sc.

Hi Muthu

I would need this to create the Contract document (PDF format) in Contract Management.

Any idea how I can activate and configure this? I see nothing in the IMG.

Regards.

PS : Thanks for the doc

Hi,

Is suppose, you would need to install DB 7.0 in your SRM system before you start seeing the IMG nodes. You would also need XI in your landscape for communicating DB and SRM. Check the below link more details.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_db/helpdata/en/43/39f8ad27b91bcbe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

btw, if you are on SRM7, wouldn't you have the option of going for CLM which may give more enhanced functionality.

Sanjeev

Many thanks sanjeev

It becomes far clearer now.

I will let Basis install it. Do you know if it is part of SRM license?

Can you confirm PPS is not a prerequisite to use DB?

Thanks for the doc. What is the path from Help home page to your doc?

Regards.

Hi Le,

We are planning to implement SAP DB 3.0 with SAP SRM 7.0 without using the PPS.

Could you please give us some of the steps you followed to integrate your SAP DB with SAP SRM.

It will be great if you can share some documents.

Thanks,
