FM consolidation

Hi

Is it possible to have the consolidation at FM area level in BCS . 3 company codes are assigned to the same FM area.

Presenly only one company code has gone live.

What is the advantage of having the same FM Area.

Regards,

Purnima

Hi,

It's not a question of advantage, but more a question of business requirements. If your split for company codes is done from legal/financial reasons and your budget is managed within the same framework, then you should not define separate FM areas.

Eli

Hi

How about consolidation of budget at FM area level. Is it possible to have it if 2 company codes share the same FM area.

Hi,

What do you mean exactly by 'consolidation'? The organizational unit in FM is FM area, thus the budget is not managed at the company level at all. You are free to 'separate' your company codes by managing different fund centres, for example, where they will be mapped (virtually) with companies.
