MDM PI Adapter

Hi,

In PI 7.1, i read, there is a separate adapter (communication channel) of type "MDM" PI Adapter, that we can use to connect to MDM systems.

Is this adapter comes along with the installation of PI, or needs to be installed separately.

does the customer needs to request request this from SAP.

then you just need to import SAP BASIS SWCV into IR once more

For both MDM sender and receiver communication channels the Transport Protocol is "MDM Provider", Message Protocol is "MDM". Along with you need to provide MDM Access Parameters like which MDM Server and Repository you want to use, provide Repository User credential details like User Name and Password that you need to create repository, along with also provide "Port Code" and "DBMS server name and type".
