Hi All,

I am installing CI on windows with Oracle, during the installation phase 18 of 27 it stops saying,

CJS-30152 Java process dispatcher of instance P01/DVEBMGS20 [ABAP: Active, JAVA: (dispatcher: STARTING, server0: STARTING) did not reach STARTING_APPS after 20:00 minutes. Giving Up

The server is having 8GB of RAM, I tried to manually stop and start the CI but still disp+java is in yellow state and the dispatcher and server0 are in Starting Framework status.

I set Max Heap Size from 1024m to 256m.

and I set -Xms Size from 1024m to 256m. but still no use.

Any solution for this..

Regards,

Balakrishnan

You have no need to set this parameter yet. first you have to set the virtual Memory for Swapping for the

installation.

what is the size of partitions?

Can you tell me why you DECREASE the heap size??

A MaxHeap of 1024m is necessary to make the engine start.

Please read Note 716604 - Access to Sun J2SE and recommended J2SE options.

Which Java version are you using? Is this 32 or 64bit?

Hi All,

We were upgraded our RAM to 12GB and restarted the machine and JAVA started very quickly, I dont suspect the problem was with RAM.

You seems to have enough RAM. So please leave the parameters to 1024 M. Make sure you have set-up the paging file size 3 to 4 times of your RAM.
