should we sue BPM

Hi,

I have a scenario where two different files are coming from the source (File).

And we have to post 1 IDOC in SAP R/3 from those two files.

Should we use BPM in this, or is there a way we can do this without using BPM?

Thanks,

Vikas

Hi Vikas,

You have to use the BPM for your requirement. The BPM will look like

Start> Fork-> Transform>Send->end

Here your fork step will have two receive branches for each file and you can combine them using some corelarion in transform step.

Thanks

Ajay

For N:1 scenario, you need to use BPM

1:N can be handled without BPM

Hi Vikas,

N:1 Mapping cannot be handled without BPM... So for your requirement you have to use BPM.

Thanks & Regards,

Senthil.

Not sure if 2:1 can be handled without a BPM......1:2 can be handled without BPM....

2 Files to 1 IDOC..

2:1 mapping can't be done without BPM.

If you could combine the two files before entering PI, then you have possibility to send a single file and avoid BPM. Otherwise, there is no option.

And we have to post 1 IDOC in SAP R/3 from those two files.

Is it that you want to do a 2(File):1(idoc) mapping?....I think you have to use BPM for this requirement...
