Hi swetha,
in simple terms..take a transaction say ME21N ( Purchase Order ), u can see a Print icon there. now when u click on this icon, it has to print the PO document. Now how does it do that? when u click Print, the control gets transffered to a print program, now which program gets triggered is decided by what program name u specify in NACE.
So in NACE>EF>Output Type>NEU>processing routine--> u can see some standard program already configured( maybe SAPFM06P n form MEDRUCK )..these are the programs n sapscript that gets executed wen u say "PRINT" in the transactrion...so u can customise the print program for customer changes over here by copying the standard program n form into a Z/Y one and replacing the program names in NACE.
Hope u ve got an idea

Hi Swetha!
these r the steps to follow suppose imagine for packing list for delivery:
go to NACE->select the Application "V2" and click on the "Output Types" (on Apllication Radio Button)and select the output types PL00'i.e Packing List
now double click on the 'Process Routines'(left side)
goto change mode then assign the print prg and corresponding layout and form entry
now goto menu 'TableView' select print.
now to see this output u have to go to relative tcode 'VL70' enter relative data execute then click the message output button on Appl toolbar
u'ill get the output
while configuring in the NACE means u have check the print output in the corresponding Tcodes suppose for sales order u can see (after configuration in nace) in vao2 r vao3 ok
give some points
cheers

Hi,
NACE is transaction used for Output determination for Output control or message control.
go to nace transaction and select on the application in which you want to (like v1 for sales and v2 for shipping and so on).
So this is used for defining an output determination for a smart form script and and IDOC.
Once you enter into this transaction everything is self explanatory...
not only <b>NACE</b> transaction you can also check with the transaction <b>VOK2</b>...
You can use either of them...

Sampath...

Hi,
NACE is used to create the COnditions for Output control.
if you want to create any output type select the application and then click on Output type button which is available on application tool bar, and then click on change button then create the new Z* Output type with necessary inputs like forms, and form routine,etc..

HI Shwetha,
Check this out
<b>NACE</b>
You can track the form and the print program used for that form
NACE is used to create output type while creating the output type you will mention forms, and driver program.
that will be maintained in the table TNAPR.if you create the output type using NACE then it will be automatically visible in table NAST and TNAPR.
so check in NAST, TNAPR table
