NW2004s installation guide / prerequiste list

Dear all,

3 month ago I succesfully installed the NW 2004s preview for ABAP, but now when I try again it fails every time... So could you help me in what step and prerequiste I should go trough before installing. Here is my own list:

1) Use Windows XP SP1

2) Use J2SDK 1.4.2_08

3) Set the CLASSPATH and JAVAHOME variables

4)any local policies need to be set?

5) Use 15.000 MB for the MaxDB datasize (else the WAS will timeout when running the SGEN transaction af installing)

What else do I need on the list?

In my case it stops every time in step/phase 11 (database installation).

Hi Lars,

All the guides related to Netweaver 04s can be found at

http://service.sap.com/instguides -> Netweaver 04s ->

Installation -> Planning and Installation guides.

Going through them may give you a better idea of the

prerequisites.

Also as suggested by Arun, the logs are written

in ..\program files\sapinst_dir\.... Sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log may give the error in detail.
