Hi,

When I am building a macro I drag and drop the icons so that to build it.

Sometimes I have 3 options: Insert, Append or Create in next level.

What is the difference between Insert, Append or Create in next level

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Here is the answer of your questions.

What is mean by INSERT:

See when you click on the insert whatever you have selected like mathematical symbol or row or column etc is going to seat before the line you have selected.

What is mean by Append:

If you select last line & drag function like mathematical symbol etc & if you select append option then it will always go & seat after the last line.

What is mean by Creat in Next level:

Create next level option always come when you are going to create next steps like if you have defined resultant key figure & now you want to create equation for that resultant key figure then you have to select new row i.e key figure then thi option will come.

e.g New Macro

Step for new macro

Resultant Key figure =

KF1 ( Here you will find "Create in Next level" option"

Hope this will help you

Hi LCD777,

There are two basic methods of working in the MacroBuilder.

a) The context menu

b) Drag&Drop techniques

We use Drag&Drop to do any of the following.

1) Add or insert any macro element in the macro tree

2) When you drop the element, the system offers you a choice of options if more than one option is available.

a) Move elements within the macro tree

b) Drag a macro from the macro tree to the standard macros screen area

c) Change the sequence of the standard macros

d) Copy a part of the macro tree to the clipboard

If the crossed circle icon appears, you cannot carry out the action for this element. If the + icon appears, you can carry out the action for this element. In this case, you can release the left mouse button.
