i want to change the short text of the data element

in the Ztable that i created?

Hi,

U need to go to the FIELD LABEL of that data element

and change the short text there.

In SE11, put in the DATA ELEMENT in the DATA type field and change field label.

That will reflect in the table.

Hai Rani

Goto SE11

select Data Type Radio Button & give your Data Element

Click on Change Button

you a got a window

in the top side you have Short Description Colum

Then you will change it

Save & Activate it

After what ravi had told goto SE14 , give ur table name and click the last push button <b>Adjust and Activate</b>

Hi rani,

1. if the data element

of the field of your z table

is a standard sap data element,

then u need to get access key.

2. Its not advisable/recommended to change it.

3. Instead u can copy the original data element

to Z

and use it instead.

Hi,

Se11 -> Data types ( enter the data element name )

dialog box appears

select data element tab

go to field label tab

enter the short text.

Hi rani following is the best way i found.

1.Goto to CMOD ->text enhancements->key words->change.

2.Give language and data element then click edit.

3.now change short text ,short field label,medium field label , long field label or heading etc.

Hi Rani,

1) Give the name of the Data Element on the first screen

of SE11

2) Goto the Field Label tab and change the short text.

or

Directly u can go and change the short text by double clicking on the data elemnt in the table itself.
