custom rfc adapter behind a firewall/proxy

I have a working rfc adapter which is written using rfc sdk. Everything works fine. The connection string has gateway, service, progid. There is one scenario which fails. If there is a proxy between the sap system and the system running the adapter, things fail.

Are there any suggestions on how to solve this. Our code uses general api like rfcaccept, rfclisten, etc.. Does SAP provide any guidance with regards to this matter?

Hi Chandra,

Basically this looks like a issue related to data security . The firewall is restricting the access . Get your security administrators involved and let them know your ports,getways and ip's through which connection would be established.
