Mail Attachments for ALV report

Hi everybody,

I need ur suggestion for solving my issues in ALV reporting. I need to attach the ALV report to a mail as XLS format. But the system defaults it to ALI format. How to change the defaulted value to XLS.

how you are sending the result to mail ? have u added code for that ?

if so, pl change it as below.

change ur OBjectpack Document type to XLS.

WA_OBJPACK-DOC_TYPE = 'XLS' .

Hi,

Thank you Srikanth.

I am trying to send mail form ALV list display screen.

After presing the 'mail recipent' button we will get the business work place screen and the displayed file is attached to the mail as an HTML file. ie It will be in ALI format. My requirement is to change default format to xls.

For sending mail no code is added.

Also I need some clarification on statements mentioned in Srikanth's reply. Could you please explain in detail?

Hi jaison,

1. i don't think from the standard facility,

we can change the ALI to XLS.
