Hi,

How do I configure the SAPLogon to connect through the Message Server (and not directly to the server).

Thanks in advance,

Aviad

Aviad,

- first you have to create LogonGroups via transaction SMLG

- make sure your services file on your client has an entry for sapms<SID>

- then you can make an entry in your SAP Logon via "Groups..."

Thanks.

How excatly should I configure the services file in order to see the server when creating a new connection in the SAPLogon though Groups...

Should I configure anything else?

Thanks,

Aviad

îf your system-ID (SID) is for example E01 and the systemnumber is 10, the entry in the services file would be:

sapmsE01 3610/tcp

furthermore, you can make an entry in the sapmsg.ini file (in the %windows"-directory) for your server (this should be done automatically, when you make an entry via saplogon, too)
