Renew Licence

Hi,

My licence for the ABAP trial version has expired and I am trying to renew it. I see that in transaction SLICENSE there is a button that takes you to the service market place - http://service.sap.com/licensekey. I do not, however, have a user name and password for the service market place that is valid for this trial version. I have tried my sdn user name and password, but that is not accepted.

How do I request a new licence key?

Hello John,

You can renew the license at [this link|http://www.sap.com/minisap].

Your System ID will be NSP or a list will be given on the page. Select the one depend on your version. Hardware key will be found in the transaction SLICENSE. Login as DDIC user and go to this transaction, you can go to the above website from here also. Once you fill the required info and sumit you will receive an email with license info. You will have an attachment also, download it and save it in a folder you remember. Now go to the transaction SLICENSE again and click on Install button, select the file you just stored. Then you will be good to go for 3 more months, every 3 months you can renew the license.

Many thanks Peter, I have now managed to renew my licence.

PS I wondered why the transaction code SAP uses is SLICENSE and not SLICENCE, is that American English?

it comes probably from German-English.
