Error in installation of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Trial Version

Running msiexec failed with return code 1603: Fatal error during installation.

Commandline was msiexec.exe /norestart /L sapmmcX86u.log /i sapmmcX86u.msi /qn

I am trying to install on Visa Premium.

Can you pl help me out in this.

Has anyone successfully installed the composition environment on Vista(32 bit)?

I am facing same problem, i am trying to installl on vista (64 bit? anybody is able to install on vista 64 bit system........?

Are you installing on 32 bit or 64 bit Vista Premium ?

I had this same error in 64 bit system. Looks like the installer takes the wrong file for installation , the x86 one 32 bit, instead x64.

Hi,

If you are using Vista Administrator ID to perform the installaton the you may right-click on the hard disk Properties (say C: drive) to check on the permissions granted (under Security Tab) for the Vista ID used. Ensure Full control permission is granted for the ID used for installation.
