Hi All,
We are using Novell tool for password sync in SAP 4.7. Is there a way to force the the SAP password to be same as the "CURRENT" LDAP password?
Thanks for your responses

Hi Vijaya,
please refer to SAP Note 376856 . SAP does not support synch of productive passwords. Furthermore although Novell offers such functionality this part of Novell software is not certified from SAP.
Rather use an SSO solution than synchronizing passwords!

fill in the all values for the table USR40 and make sure you will have only the password ( which you wanna set) as non illegal password.
I think this should work.

Hi Pavan,
USR40 is for exceptional passwords..to avoid password guessing and to be more secure of your SAP system.
it is not at all related to the password synchronization to the LDAP system.

The SAP Netweaver Identity Management can synchronize passwords between Active Directory and SAP.
So you have only to implement SAP NW IdM
