Install DMS

Hi Experts ,

I am planning to install the DMS content server with the connection with ECC6.

Please let me know whether both Content Server and DMS is same .

I have a confusion regarding the Content server version . It seems in PAM Content Server 6.40 is the

latest but no installation document is available in DOWNLOAD>INSTGUIDES . But for 6.30 ,

everything is there. Could you please tell me whether any installation document is available for 6.40 .

Is there any incopatibility issue with ECC6 for any of these versions?

Hi Nibu,

The content server is a storage repository for DMS. This where all the originals (application files - .doc., .xls, etc) are stored. The associated metadata however is stored in DMS within SAP.

But still my confusion is regarding the Versions 6.30 and 6.40 .

Is there any installation guide available for CS6.40 . Is this the latest CS ?

Is there any incompatibility between ECC 6 and 6.40 as we have to maintain the connection between

them .
