Hi all,
I have some problems with the encoding. Looks like we don't have UTF-8 as default encoding.
Where can we set the default encoding for java in XI? I found this solution but in our system there is nothing set and we can not set the property.
The default encoding can be displayed using the J2EE Administration Tool, selecting: Services | monitoring | System | System properties | <file.encoding> property.
Does someone know where else we can set the default encode or send me a printscreen?
Thanks
Ronny

What exactly is your issue?
XI works with UTF-8 internally, you cannot change this.

Seeburger says:
With the File-Adapter-Parameter srcEncoding you can set the encoding
Description:
Sets the encoding for the source message. If empty the converter
will use the systemu2019s default encoding.
The default encoding can be displayed using the J2EE
Administration Tool, selecting: Services | monitoring | System |
System properties | <file.encoding> property.
When I set the srcEncoding and destEncoding to "UFT8" in the Fileadapter it works. So it means the it's not UFT-8 as default encoding.
