Stock reservations

HI Friends

We have a requirement to block the stock reservations (allocating to diffrent orders) during the availability chcek

In means when we receipt the particular material into our waregouse we want to block the stock for confirmation. We want to unblock the stock and process an order when ever we requre.

We have set up lke this..

Plant

Warehouse (Wm activated)

Storage Locations..

Can we a diffrent warehouse(non WM) with a storage location and make the availabilty check should look at only WM manged warehouse rthare than at plant level.

During receiving you can have the stock moved directly to customer stock both at IM & WM level, that way no different customer can take that product. When the order is created for the customer (against which GR) then you need to modify the item category and associated requirement strategy to look for customer stock rather than unrestricted stock. And you will be able to consume from this restricted inventory. That is one way. Other way is if you already have an order created which triggers the procurement process, then use item category TAB which links the stock coming in directly to sales order stock. That way no other sales order can take this stock away.
