Remote Client Copy - Error

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to copy production system client to test system.Both the systems are in same patch level(Both Kernel and ABAP).But when i am running the remote client copy with profile SAP_APPL or SAP_APPX in test mode the copy is getting aborted with error messages.But the sametime if i run it with SAP_CUST profile it runs fine.But i want to copy all the master data and customized objects in production to quality.In case of SAP_APPX and SAP_APPL even if i exclude the tables listed in error , it ends with another set of tables in next run.Please advise,

A Remote Client Copy can be used to transfer Customizing, user and application data between two systems. The target client is completely reset for this (exception: SAP_USER copy profile, see also notes 19574 and 24853).

However, a repository (programs, table definitions, system variants and so on) is NOT transferred.

In fact, a prerequisite for this is that the systems have the same development status. This means that all software components must have the same release and the same Support Package version in both the source and target system. This particularly applies to the SAP_BASIS component.

Hi Vignesh,

Can you tell me as how to solve the above error in Remote client copy.

M also getting the same error.

I was doing the remote client copy from QTY to Sandbox.

Hi,

Please update the Database Statisc for both the System and then try to perfprm the client Copy.

This Error is due to the difference in the Fields in the tables.

LOG SAYS IT ALL....

fields are not same in both the system... please check and re perform.

would suggest a client export and import rather than a remote client copy.
