IPC Web Application issue

Dear Experts!

I have a question regarding IPC WebUI installation.

When I try to enter the http://<SRM_server>:<port>/ipc/ipc/command.do URL (which is mentioned in the Web applications installation guide), I receive the UnknownError web page (unknownerror.jsp).

The installation was carried several times, with all guides, support packages and notes checked.

RFC destinations and test programs in SRM system are working.

Do you ever encounter this error message?

And what do you get, when you enter this URL? I've received strange reply from SAP, that UnknownError - is the correct reply. But I'm still in doubts...

Thank you!

Andrey.

Maybe you will have more expertise guru in the CRM solution Forum...

Kind regards,

Hi Yann,

we have the test environment, with SRM and IPC are installed on the on the on Win2003 Server and the backend R/3 system is installed on the another.

I know, that IPC is more CRM thing, but I'm interested in SRM. That's why I try to discover - do any of SRM experts use WebUI IPC functionality or it is not so necessary? How does it looks like in real working SRM system landscape?

Thank you,

Andrey.

Hi Andrey,

IPC is optional for classic scenario only.

IPC is mandatory for standalone and extended classic scenario (ECS).

Most of the time, even if IPC is part of your landscape (standalone or ECS scenario), you do not use it unless you want to implement complex pricing in SRM.

Kind regards,

Yann
