Web repository Manager?

I am new to KMC. I just want to what is web repository manager and its utility. We need to configure an website to portal. How should it be done.

hi,

Web repository manager provides read access to documents stored on remote Web servers. The documents are made available as CM resources, which allows them to be indexed and searched in Content Management.

1.Register the Web Server in the KM System Landscape

2.Create a Web Site

3.Create a Cache for the Repository Manager

4.Create a Web Repository Manager
