Mapping of vendor capacity

Dear friends,

I am working with sap ecc and apo, I have a scenario where client is asking to map vendors manufacturing capacity and while taking planning run.

Currently I have vendors in R/3, when i cif it to apo it comes as a location with type 1011(Vendor)

Now I am thinking to create PPM at vendor location.

Please tell me if you guys know any other way to map the same.

Hi Pankaj,

What you have done so far is absolutely fine. Alongwith, you need to create work center capacities (either individual capacity or pooled capacity depending upon the requirement) for the vendor and send it to APO before maintaining the PPM.

If vendor has labor constraints, map those in the capacity.

Bom and routing of vendor to be maintained in APO. For vendor capacities/resources, make some identity while naming it for clear visibility of capacity.
