Hi experts,

i am doing Data Archiving For Business Partner through Archiving Object CA_BUPA but at

variant creation level i m getting "First execute program BUPSELG5" Error.

Pls Help me how can i solve this problem.

Hello,

The program BUPSELG5 is responsible for generating selection screens

following your business object customizing. (This was done in a lot

of business partner and BDT customizing views which include table TBZ1).

Correct selection screens are necessary to launch ABAP programs, but

they have no effect on the internal logic of the program itself.

So there are no "side effects". Therefore to eliminate this error execute

BUPSELG and the error should be avoided.

i want to save archiv file in local system , can it be possible then where i have assign path like

"c:\archivfiles\bp"

Hello,

The archived files can be stored by two methods:

1.External storage method (seprate server)

2.Can be stored in the application server of your system.

Please find the below link to define the Logical file name and Logical path name to store the deleted archived files.Please contact your basis guy to define this path.
