Well what is the relation between SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 and SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP1?

There is not much relation between SAP ERP EHP4 and SAP NW EHP1...When you are applying EHP1 then in that system there migh be some ERP components...Go throgu SAP note Note 1326576 - SAP NetWeaver Systems Containing SAP ERP Software Components

NW 7.01 (NW 7.0 EHP1) is necessary to run ERP 6.0 EHP4. So if you upgrade to EHP4, you also have to include the NW7.0 EHP1.

The installation of SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 requires at least SAP NW 7.01 Support Package stack 2 (Support Package stack 2 of EHP1 of SAP Netweaver components).

I am applying EHP4 on ECC

is it necessary to apply EHP1 on Netweaver

Up to EHP3, the installation did not have any implications on the underlying SAP NetWeaver platform. This has changed: With EHP4 for SAP ERP, the SAP ECC server always requires EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver.
