Oracle 10.2.0.4 two listeners problem

Hello,

I have windows 2003 server 64 bits with an R3 system working fine and it listener on port 1527. Now we need to install another database of an R3 ECC 6.0. In the installation when it ask me for the listener y name a new one and define the port to 1528.

The new listener works fine but the old one, start to fail with the transports and normal operation.

Can you help please

Hi,

I think you can give port number as 1521 for new listner.

Use Netca for listener configuration.You can check there also.

Hi,

Since each TNS Listener is a seperate service altogether, both of them cannot run on the same port.

You can use either of these port numbers for the other Listener, since 1527 is already occupied:

1521 Oracle database default listener port

1526 Oracle database common alternative for listener port

1528 Oracle database common alternative for listener port
