Firm objects in PPDS

Hi,

I am trying to automatically firm orders in a horizon in PPDS using the program /SAPAPO/BACKGROUND_SCHEDULING but I see that orders are not firmed. Can you tell me if I am making any mistake?

Here are the parameters:

Program : /SAPAPO/BACKGROUND_SCHEDULING

selection screen parameters:

Planning version: 000

Time profile SAP001

propagation range: SAPALL

Function/Heuristic: Firm Objects

Time profile: SAP001

Planning object: orders

Selection of orders for processing in step01:

Location: A012 (our location)

Product: 3451245 (our product)

When I run this, I don't see any of the planned orders that were previously planned getting firmed. Am I doing a mistake or are there any other settings that I am missing? Please help.

Hello Rajgaddam,

The function "Firm objects" would only set the status "date fixed".But this function cannot be used to set the status "input

firmed" or "output firmed" of orders.

Incase you are looking for the "input/output firm" indicator, this function "Firm Objects" is not usable.

Unfortunately there is no other way to execute this ("input/output firm) is in mass.

Hi Raj,

You can still try in transaction /sapapo/rrp4 for firming objects in PPDS.(execute the output and carry out in change mode).

You also try in transaction /sapapo/rrp_snp2ppds

Please check and confirm.

Hi Rajgaddam,

Your setting seems to be fine. You should get a tick under PP firmed after this job runs.

Check on the following.

1) All master data are maintained for this item

2) PPM is available for the location product

3) Try to put order number in the selection criteria and then try specifically one order to check whether it is working or not like.

4) Check the PPDS horizon

5) Check the logs created
