No more E2E RCA and Diagnostics Administration Tab

Hi everybody,

we have just implemented EhP1 on our SolMan System.

The problem I am facing now, is that at first the SolMan Diagnostics application told me, I had no authorization. As a workaround I assigned sap_all to my user.

Now I can open the smd, but I only see the "diagnostics setup" tab, and no longer the "E2E Root Cause Analysis" and the "Diagnostics Administration" tabs.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Hi Jochen,

As of EHP1 you need to access RCA using the WorkCenter.

If you have already configured workcenters, go there and you'll find a tab RCA

If you haven't configured WorkCenter, let me know and I'll tell you what to do!

thanks a lot.

I have the workcenter. I was just wondering why http://<solman>:<port>/smd is only displaying the setup part.

Do you know whether there is any specific role I have to assign to my E2E RCA users?

They just took it out..... probably to make us use the workcenters more often

Roles you need for RCA-users in workcenter are:

SAP_SMWORK_BASIC (always for workcenter)

SAP_SMWORK_DIAG (for RCA)

at section 2.3.7 [SOLMAN.BI.SAPSUPPORT]: SAP Support

Please assign the necessary roles & profiles according to this guide.

Please do this also for user SOLMAN_ADMIN.
