Company code Vs Fund area

Hi experts,

what are the advantages of having ( 1:1 ) funds area vs company code, and advantages of 1:n .

I have a scenario with 4 company codes. Is it advisable to have one Fund area or 4 fund area.

Hi,

It's not a question of advantage, but more of your business requirements. If your budet is managed separately through your company codes, if you have different workflows, different budet structure, budget types, etc., then it's better to manage separate FM areas. Otherwise, you can use one FM area and assign your company codes to it.
