Modification adjustment required during upgrading SPs Level

Hi all,

I am looking for a solution to prevent any error during upgrade process

as the operation will be done in a weekend and no key users,

consultants or ABAP Developers are available. Therefore if itu2019s

possible, I want to find out any errors and warnings in SPAU and SPDD

before starting upgrade process.

Please let me know if there are any manuals or SAP Notes about SAPU and

SPDD T-Codes.

I have to mention that the result of SPAU execution during upgrade

process is different from now (I restore the database to the previous

state before upgrade). I donu2019t know how to do modification adjustment

for some issues, which are not shown now.

Also, There was a request from PS Key user who needs to change

some components in SAP System according to SAP Note 336685. Now I want

to know if his changes may need modification adjustment for upgrade

process? Generally how can I investigate system for these kinds of

changes?

Sanaz,

From Basis you only need to do Notes correction in SPAU & rest adjustment you need to perfrom with the help of developer.

You need to release or delete all Transport request before support pack upgrade as it may give object lock error suring SP upgrade.

SPAU: take a example suppose if you have a program abc which has contents "xxxx yyyy zzzz".

when u do sp upgrade this program is changed & the same in the SP looks like program abc ... which has contents "xxxx yyyy zzzz ttttttt mmmmm". Here "tttttt mmmmmm" are addition. SAP does not know whether to keep the old one or overwrite with new. When u say create request it creates a request with old one & over writes with new incase if u want old u can release the request and overwrite in rest of the request.
