ECC 6.0 Upgrade Problems~

Former Member

Dear Sir:

Iu2019m doing Upgrade to ECC 6.0 procedure.

Source System:

SAP R/3 4.7 x110 non-unicode (Installation Master is x200 & Kernel is SAP NW 7.0 SR3) with MS SQL 2005 on 64bit window/NT

Target System:

SAP ECC 6.0 with MS SQL 2005 64bit window/NT

And I reference the u2018SAP ERP Central Component 6.0 SR3 Upgrade Guideu2019

And it mention about a note Note 825146 - Add. info. on upgrading to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 on SQL Server

In the content of the note mention something I need to do first. But I wondering in my circumstance do I need to do thease steps below?

1.the book says~

non-Unicode only: R3load-import error with Fastloader

If you upgrade your SAP system to a SAP system based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR1, SR2, SR3 on SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008, you have to apply SAP note 1279941 before you start the upgrade. Otherwise, input character data is converted into the wrong format in the database.

My Question: in 1279941 note,I canu2019t find the lib_dbsl_<patch>-<xxxxx>.SAR file for window/NT 64 bit, which means I donu2019tu2019 need to do the step?

2.the book says~

ABAP:

Make sure that your start release system is running with the newest dbmssslib.dll available for that release. For kernel start release 640 you need at least lib_dbsl_241, for kernel start release 700 you need at least lib_dbsl_168, otherwise you will encounter errors in phase RUN_RSVWSCPY. For more information, see SAP Note 1225411.

My Question: I canu2019t find the dbmssslib.dll file ?where I can find it and how to update it?

and I reference this http://www.easymarketplace.de/lib_dbsl.php#PatchLevel

Regards

Jack Lee
