NWBC connection error

Hi Sir,

Please help me out

We have installed NWBC in desktop and we have maintained the connection

preferences to connect to the server.

We are getting the following connection error

u201CThe navigation tree is empty (no entries exist for the roles you are

assigned in PFCG/PCD)u201D

Hi Kannan,

This error happens because you did not assign the role for the user in the portal (in case of connecting to portal).

- At first you must upload the ABAP role to the portal:

Try logging to portal (http://[host]:[port]/irj/portal) with the admin role, go to System Administration > Transport > Role Upload

Select your SAP backend system (<sysid>CLNT<client), choose Roles for Object Type and search for your roles defined before in backend system.

Then click Add button, the role(s) will be showed in List of Objects for Upload, click Next, then Start Upload.

- After upload the ABAP role to portal, you must assign that role to the user that will be used for NWBC. This task is done through User Administration tab in portal menu.

So your user can log on & the menu category in NWBC is exactly like the menu list defined in the role assigned to that user.
