Quotation Costing

Hi All,

How to do quotation costing?

My client's requirement is to do the costing for the quoation, which they will send to customer.

i.e. to get the cost report.

Activate EK02 Cost condition type for QT document type...... Then u can do costing at QT

Hi Ashish,

Go to VOV8 select the Document type as QT, then in QT under billing sectionthere is one field CndType line items in the sales document type.Select EK02 there. Add this condition type to the SD pricing procedure

How to get the value of EK02 automatically in quotation.

Now its not coming. Manually I am giving the value of EK02 in quotation.

Hi,

There is three types of Cost condition type

EK01

EK02 is manual..... u have to enter this manually and this is statistical

VPRS this is automatic....

So you can see that the objective of all these 3 are different.

EK01 to calculate selling price based on the cost price (EK01 is manually entered)

EK02 just a statistical value of the cost but doesnt have any influence in pricing and is used only for reporting purposes (EK02 also only manually enterable) and

VPRS is automatic cost calculation based on material valuation in the moving avg price or standard price(this is automatically updated based on the Cost of the material.

So if u want automatic then u have to use VPRS......

Thanks again.

I require automatically it should come.So i select VPRS not EK02.

But when for costing inside VOV8, I am giving VPRS in CNDITION TYPE LINE ITEM, it is showing error.

The error is - Only condition types used for 'Pricing' are allowed.

So how I will assign VPRS in that field, so that it will come automatically in quotation?

Hi Asish,

You have to also include EK02 to requirement class then the automatic posting will happen. Put EK02 iin VOV8 and in requirement class.

Hi

There is no need to include VPRS in VOV8.

VPRS should be there in pricing procedure only

The value will flow from Material Master Accounting view and from the fields Moving or Standard price
