anyone know the transaction to release a single wbs element? Not cj02....

You do it with CJ02, CJ12.
Otherwise, from CJ20N, click on the WBS you want to release, go to Edit--> Status --> Release or else use CTRL+F2
Hi,
CJ20,CJ2B.There are more than one Tcodes through which we can release the WBSE.
CJ20 we generally use for planning;CJ2B directly takes you the PPB
which has an interactive screen when double click on the object gives the details of the same.
Like wise each Tcode has its own significance.
Can you give the requirement/logical reason why you are looking for single WBSE release
So that some one throw more information on that.
