Hi,

I want to be more specific with my question...

I am asking about the transaction /SAPAPO/MP40 - Maintain Promotion Base in Demand Planning...In the manual it is said the next: "Using a promotion base for planning promotions makes it easier to identify the effects of individual promotions".

Can you please give me a real example where a promotion base is used?

Promotion bases maintained under this transaction will be used as a database or historical/current data for identifying the suitable stragey of a promotion to be decided. The various scenarios for which it is used are;

1) Promotion base displays the various promotion methodologies used which will be useful to plan future promotions.

2) It carries information of various combination of promotion used

3) It also displays the promotion period or promotion life cycle

4) It also provides information on scenarios on the success of promotion like accepted by customer or rejected by customer.

5) It provides information on when the promotion was active and when it was confirmed.

6) It also gives information on inprocess promotions used in sales

7) It will be used to identify expired promotions

😎 Promotions which are planned for future also can be stored in this database

9) Any promotions offered to customer and awaiting their approval can be identified

10) It also provides the informtation on execution strategy of promotions.
