Hi all

I am havign a mapping which uses a UDF for DB lookup.

Can anyone tell if i can use this mapping inside the BPM in the transformation step?

If possible ,can anyone send the link for a blog which throws light on this?

thanks for the quick reply

Just wanted to share my thoughts are to why i had the doubt.

Inside the BPM , we cannot use dynamic configurations in UDF(like accessign the filename )

So i was confused that maybe we cannot call the channels too from teh mapping inside the BPM.

its nice to have my doubts cleared on this.

Hi!

When using a BPM where else do you want to place the mapping if not in the BPM? You make use of the so-called transformation steps and then use the Interface/Operation Mapping (containing your message mapping) you previously created in ESR/IR.

Hi

we can also use it outside the BPM if required.Infact in some cases ,we cannot use mappings inside if we are performing operations like dynamic configurations.

However as shabarish said..we can do DBlookup inside the BPM.

thanks for ur participation in the discussion.,

you are right to say dynamic configuration cannot be done inside a BPM
