DB Update statistics is not working by DB13 T.Code

Hi all,

I want to run DB Update ststistics through DB13 T.Code but it is not run.When I use BRTOOLS directly it works but by using DB13 it is not work.When I schedule BD13 it starts and then it failed and job log present.Is there any extra configuration needed to run it through DB13?Please guide me so that my problem solved.

Kamal,

When your CI & DB are installed on different host & if you have not maintained SAPXPG destination scheduling any action from DB13 fails.

Go SM59-->TCP/IP Connections SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DBHOST>. Here maintain below details & do a connection test.

maintain Program=sapxpg

Target Host= <DBHOSTNAME>

Gateway Host = <DBHOSTNAME>

Gateway service sapgw## were ## is System number

without any kind of logs, it is hard to answer. if it tries to start but fails due to authorizations or permissions, read SAP note 400241.

Dear Kamal,

If your OS is Unix then it could be due to permissions for the file system.

Or else, provide us the error info given in log file.
