Installation of NWDI usage type in PI 7.1

Dear Friends,

We have recently installed SAP Netweaver PI 7.1.

In the process of installation we forgot to select the check box "Prepare SAP System for NWDI Integration".

Now the installation is completed without any problems, The systems is still not in use.

Now, Is it possible to install/deploy/configure the NWDI in our system ?

Please reply with the possibilities to achive this.

Hi Prashanth,

The step "Prepare system for NWDI integration" during your installation, does not implies that NWDI usage type is added. It simply means that, if you select it, your PI system will be made ready to integrate with an NWDI instance (another instance, indeed).

I believe you will not be able to add NWDI as an additional usage type in a PI 7.1 system, as it was possible earlier in NW 7.0.

Hello Prashanth

NWDI is not available, yet, for the 7.10 release. You have to install NWDI 7.00 on a separate 7.00 j2ee or NWDI 7.01 on a 7.01 j2ee.
