Generation of Certificates for Principal Propagation in PI

Can we generate certificates in PI for principal propagation. If so.....what is the transaction code to be used. I came across SM38 as The T-code for exporting the certificates.

The certificate that you need is of the Sender System and not of your XI/ PI server...once you have the certificate then you need to import it into XI/ PI.....

In case of SAP to SAP scenario ,can't we generate the certificates in SAP itself ?

yes you can...only thing is that you need to import the certificate in XI/ PI and make a proper entry in VA

Hi,

Normaly strust is the transaction code which is used for genrating the certificate.The same Transaction is used for export and import the certificates in ABAP stack.
