Long and short text in queries

Hello all,

Does anyone know whether it is possible to show both long and short texts of a characteristic in a querie?

BW 3.5 brought us the ability to see the Key and Long Text, but NOT the ability to display both short and long text.

Think you have to resort to the technique used in 3.0/3.1 when you wanted to see the key and long text:

Create another InfoObject, e.g. ZPRODUCT_NM, as a reference object to 0PRODUCT.

Then add it as a display attribute to 0PRODUCT.

Change the master data load to add a mapping in the transfer rule to map 0PRODUCT from the DataSource to the new attr, ZPRODUCT_NM as well as 0PRODUCT.

Then add the new attr to your query, change the 0PRODUCT characteristic to display as Key and Short text and set the ZPRODUCT_NM attr to display as long text.

what's your bw version ?

bw 3.0 as i can recall, cannot have long and short text displayed together. bw 3.5 has enhanced, should possible.

I tried with that, seems not possible, the context menu shows these options only....

long text and key

medium text and key

short text and key

name and key

key and name.....

but not 2 texts combined.
