what is the use of condition type column in OVKK?

Hi,

Can anyone please explain me the logic behind assigning "condition type"(7th column)in "pricing procedure determination"screen (t-code OVKK)?

Also, is it mandatory to assign it or can we leave it blank?

I have asked many people and also tried to find out by searching forum and wiki but everyone had explained pricing procedure only.

Most of the people told that we assign that condition type in OVKK which is mandatory for the pricing procedure.But in that case what is the use of "Mandatory" column in pricing procedure(V/08).

Hi,

The condition type you give in OVKK gets reflected in Sales order in Line item level......

go to sales order and scroll towards right in Sales Order you'll find the same Condition Type there, under Ctyp column.

Hi Rachana,

Welcome to SDN

It is not mandatory field in OVKK, and there is no releation between V/08 mandataroy and this field.

This field will be used for fast entry change of condition type in sales order.

Ex: if you assign PR00 in OVKK , then that conditio will be seen in sales order item after batch filed,and in Pricing Conditions, you can change that condion type in sales order main screen itself.

SAP help : The condition type that the system automatically proposes in the

double-line entry screen during sales order processing,If you leave the field blank, the system

displays the active price condition during sales order processing.

Hi Rachna,

The condition type field in OVKK is not mandatory and can be left blank. If you assign a condition type then the system would automatically propose its value in the sales order line item level. This would help you see the condition type value without having to go into the condition tab of the line item. Using the scroll bar move toward the right of the line item in order processing transactions. If the field is left blank the system would display the value of the active price condition.

Eg) If you assign the condition type PR00 then the user need not go to the condition tab page to find out the price of the material.

Hi,

If you maintain this field then this condition type will appaear in your sales order.

By default it will come.

It is not mandatory to maintain this field.You can leave blank.

Another use of this field is that condition type will appear in order right and if you change or maintain it manually then double entry will appear in salea order.Normally it will happen.If you maintain manually then it will be overwritten but in this case it will not happen.
