Hi all,

The reason for this behavior is propably that there is

some profile maintained in your system which allows only the display

of some special application types and filters all the other in

display mode (CV03N). To correct this I would kindly ask you to

check the existing profiles in your system in the customizing under

- Cross Application Components

- Document Management System

- General Data

- Define profile

In your case please select an existing profile and then go to

"Determine definitions for applications". There you will see the

profile key and the application type. To display all

applications please weither delete all the maintain entries here or add

more applications and set the flag in the DISPLAY box.

Afterwards the original files should be displayed again in transaction

CV03N too.

Kind regards,

Christoph

Hi,

We found the way to control this filtering of originals. In the customizing, under Cross-Application Components >> Document Management >> General Data >> Define Profile, you can create Profiles that combine default values and settings for processing original application files.

You have these options for each application you include in the Profile (see SAP documentation)

- Workstation application that you want to automatically start when printing or displaying a document.

- The working directory you want to copy the original applications files to

- The storage category for storing the original application file using Knowledge Provider.

The Profile can be assigned to a Role or User. The result is that, if you create an entry with only PDF application defined, when you display the DIR you will have only PDF original on the list. When you click on the "Filter" button you clear the filter and see everything. If a user has no Profile assigned the "Filter" button won't appear.

hi,

You can use display filters to define filter options or conditions that must be met to display documents. A document is displayed when it meets at least one of the conditions of the filter criteria.

You can set the following Filter Options:

· Load last version

· Load last released version

· Do not display folder

· Do not display documents

· Display only documents with files

· Do not display links

To define a filter, proceed as follows:

1. Choose filter from the toolbar.

2. Choose one or more Filter Options or define one or more conditions.

3. Edit the settings under Manage Display Filter.

4. Save and activate the filter.

You have defined the following filter:

· Filter option: Display Only Documents with Files

· Filter condition: DRAW-DESCRIPTION CS `xyz` -AND- DRAW-UDSERNAME CS `ABC`

· You have entered the following as criteria:

For criterion 1

*Type Document

*Name Description

*Operation Contains String

*Value xyz

*Case Inactive

For criterion 2

*Type Document

*Name User name

*Operation

*Value ABC

*Case Inactive

The system outputs only Documents with Files that have xyz as a string in the description, and the user ABC.

This will help in Serching documents more over in EDMS.

Hi Benaka,

thank you for your answer.

I have checked in CV03N to find the toolbar to configure filtering but did not find it. Is it something that can be added in configuration? I know that I can define a filter in Easy DMS, when I looked at the EDMS interface I found a filter button with the options for version, folder, files...etc... Currently we only began to check Easy DMS and it is not used in production. what we would like is to remove or configure the Filter Button that appears in the CV03N transaction launched from Windows GUI.

Hello,

I am also looking for information about this. The button is right to the "Delete original" button, it can be seen on the Document data TAB and Originals TAB. I have found that filter gets "OFF" when I switch from CV03N to CV02N.

thx,

Serge

Hi Aby,

The icon is in the bottom of the screen - the part of the originals.
