Good morning

i want to know the redling functionlaity available in DMS, when it can be used..........any pre-requisites required for this?

wht is Kro? and Vault?

any effect of the above for the redlining process?

Regarding your description please see SAP note 1257532. Further please check in transaction DC20 if you have maintained a path for your frontend type and be sure that you have read- and write-permission for path C:\temp.

Also check ECL Viewer.

Hi,

Redlining functionality can avail by installing ECL Viewer to individual PC.

ECL viewer 6.0 is latest version which can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace as explained in note 1055006.

With the help of redlining functionality we can change the file(specify comments ) without making any changes in the original file . You can use the ECL viewer to create redlining files for 2D or 3D originals.

The redlining information is stored separately in additional files.

This feature can only be used if you use the Kpro to check in originals.
