Hi
My product dimension in DP has the next 3 characteristics: Category, Family and SKU. Normally, I transfer the data at the SKU level. There is a new business requirement where I have to model in SNP at the Family level. Besides, I want to model separate a group of SKUs that are part of the same Family.
For example:
Family1 has SKU A, SKU B, SKU C, SKU D and SKU E
In SNP I want to model the next groups of SKUs:
Group1: SKU A, SKU B and SKU C
Group2: SKU D and SKU E
The other Families can stay the same that are in DP.
Two questions:
1. How do I change the characetistic so that in I can sometimes transfer at the Family level from DP to SNP
2. Where (in DP or SNP) and How can I group the SKUs?
Thanks a lot
LCD
You should look into snp aggregated planning. In that you create a product hierarchy with the sku at the lower level and the group at the upper level. You can us a special snp aggregate planning book (or a copy of it) this allows you to release your forecast at the sku level and it will roll up to the higher level. you can do the same for safety stock. you can plan at the higer level and disaggregate the orders to the lowere level.

Hi LCD777,
Hierarchy is widely used in DP.
Hierarchy will be maintained using transaction /SAPAPO/RELHSHOW - Maintain Hierarchy
I have attached many links containing the full details of hierarchy maintenance in APO

Hi LCD777,
One suggestion is to use & maintain hierarchies and then group all your product families at the desired level.
