Antivirus scanner best practise on netweaver

We are currently implementing ecc6.0 and while doing performance testing we have noticed that our antirvirus scanner is hogging the resources. Is there a document that shows about how we should configure the antivirus scanner for SAP? We use symantec Corp edition 10. Are ther files we should exclude from being scanned etc?

Hi,

Exclude absolutely the database files from "on access" scan. This slows down a lot your database I/Os and may even be dangerous for the database integrity.

Which one would be preferable option for security if you are getting a bulk data files through internet at the server level.?

Keeping in mind that it wont affect much to integration performance.
