SPAM upgrade

Hi,

I am applying latest support packs on my test system. So i start from SPAM, i am applying patch lavel 35 .But it is running from last 24 hours & it regularly writen data in tmp directory .main import phase is running.I am patsing few last line from tmp directory.

I have updated SPAM level to 35 patch level for solutinmanager system it too less then 15 mints to finish,strange its taking lot of time for you

Have you updated the database stastistics?

Is there any latest updates in usr/sap/trans/log file

check for SLOG/ULOG and paste the entries

check is page/swap file is being used.

Maybe you are swapping as hell.

Please check if you have an archiver stuck or the filesystem /usr/sap/trans is full

check also in SM37 if there is still a running job from spam!

Hi Eric,

I have configured 12GB swap space & also aplied maintainance license in system . But still its runnig from last 2-3 days. I have never seen that spam take too much time .I am pasting few last lines from logs which are regulary updating in /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory.

What is your Kernel version? Have you upgraded the Kernel before upgrading the SPAM.

Yes have applied latest kaernel patches(patch lavel 185) before SPAM upgarde.

Is there any update in directory /usr/sap/trans/log ?

Stop the phase and retry the import again if still same problem then

Tcode se14>DBrequests>created with import

R there any entries there ? if so then delete them and retry the import again
