Installation of J2EE 2004s ERROR

Hello,

I am installing the J2EE 2004s on my local computer. I have installed:

MS SQL 2000 developer Edition SP 3 and fulfill the requirement for

Server Collation: SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN2.

Product Version: 8.00.844(SP3) .

Now I am trying to install the J2EE 2004s. During the Phase 12 of 32 Grant Database Access for Account DALN00419879A\j2eadm I got the following ERROR during installation:

ERROR 2006-04-23 15:26:48

MDB-05800 <html>MS SQL server is unable to get information about account DALN00419879A\j2eadm</html>

ERROR 2006-04-23 15:26:48

MUT-03025 Caught ESAPinstException in Modulecall: ESAPinstException: error text undefined.

ERROR 2006-04-23 15:26:48

FCO-00011 The step doGrantOsLogin with step key |NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Java_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_CreateDB|ind|ind|ind|ind|10|0|NW_MSS_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|2|0|MssOsUser|ind|ind|ind|ind|11|0|doGrantOsLogin was executed with status ERROR .

Any assistance would be really helpful.

Hi Fareed,

Please check whether the user doing the installation has

administrative rights on the machine.

To my Knowledge user has the administrative rights.

Can you pleaase let know WHat to check. I am using windows XP SP2. This is local installed on my poersonal computer.

I checked the local pilicies. in Administrative tools.

Hi Fareed,

Make sure your SQL server accepts authentication of the OS level user.

You need to launch MSSQL Enterprise Manager and check security tab of its properties.

Follow this link http://www.mssqlcity.com/Articles/Adm/SQL7SecMode/SQL70SecurityModes.htm

and make sure that your SQL has mixed authentication mode.

Thanks Mike for you help. but the problem is solved by upgrading the MSSQL sp3 to SP4.
